Who we are
RePlayGround is where discarded materials take on new life! We take scrap and make it new - and we help you recycle, too. Be sure to check out our ReMake It recycling kits - like the wine cork trivet and bottle lamp. They're both easy ways to get going with recycling. Don't miss our do-it-yourself section where we teach you how to reuse discards all by yourself! Turn old glasses into picture frames, umbrellas into skirts, and more. We're recycling fanatics and just love finding new uses for old items. Your scrap is the raw material for our next design project.
RePlayGround grew from the imagination of Tiffany Threadgould. She went to grad school for design at the lovely Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. That's where she wrote her thesis titled "Trash Nouveau - reincarnating garbage into usable products." And she's been a Design Junkie ever since.
You might know us as Tiffany Tomato Designs. That's our old name. We've moved over to RePlayGround because there's enough scrap for everyone to share.

Products
The materials used in our products are primarily reclaimed and diverted from what would normally be thown away. When necessary new materials are selectively added for functionality and packaging of the products. But mostly, we like to recycle stuff around here.
Nonprofit support and other green stuff
We like to support organizations with similar beliefs to our company. We get 100% of our power from green solutions through ConEd (if you live in the NYC area, you can, too!). We try to travel as much by train as possible, but whenever we travel by airplane we offset every trip with carbon offsets through TerraPass . Plus, every year a portion of our profits go back to organizations dedicated to helping preserve our environment. Most recently we supported Green Map, National Resources Defense Council, Sustainable South Bronx, and Trees for the Future. We also belong to 1% for the Planet. See? Since we're members we get to use their nice logo.
